Report from trip to Maldives in December 2017

Maldives live aboard

Manta Cruise Live aboard boat

It looks like Komodo have to wait. As we planned to go there the Mt Agung volcano in Bali erupted and crossed our travel plans. No one was willing to get stranded in Komodo to watch the dragons till the ash dust settles down, so we had to make quick last moment decisions about our vacation time.

The result was a Maldives live aboard trip with few days in Pattaya and Cambodia as the starters.
Kostya with Sveta and the kids Anastasia and Viktor arrived to Pattaya first. Here we did the OWD course for Viktor and AOW+Nitrox course for Viktor and Anastasia. Once ready we did a short trip to visit Angkor Wat in Cambodia and get rested before the live aboard trip.

In Bangkok Lary joined us and we met Peter already in Male. So the team was ready for a great adventure.
We have made the right decision choosing this destination and the form of diving. It was very comfortable and relaxing trip with nearly everything what the place is having to offer.
Without listing all of them, we have seen mantas, whale shark, white tips, black tips, grey sharks, huge nurse sharks, eagle rays, turtles, different moray eels and more…

This trip was a great addition to our very successful series of trip like the one to Chuuk and Palau earlier this year.
Stay tuned to hear soon about the next trip which will happen by late April and early May 2018 with planned destinations: Tahiti and Fiji.
In meanwhile enjoy the collections of photos from this trip. Many thanks here to Peter for lending me one of his cameras as mine had to stay home due to malfunction.
